The Funtastic Sports and Music Festival is Canada’s largest slo-pitch tournament and music festival, held annually over the Canada Day long weekend. Hosted primarily at Vernon’s DND Army Camp and on other ball diamonds around the city, the festival combines spirited slo-pitch games with live music performances. Each year, the Funtastic Sports Society organizes this non-profit event to raise funds supporting local sports and recreation, generating around $4.5 million in economic benefit for the community. Highlights include a co-ed slo-pitch tournament, with teams encouraged to wear costumes, and awards for sportsmanship, best costumes, and division champions.
