Our Perspective
SilverStar is the kind of place that pulls people in, not just because of its terrain but because of its laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. In winter, skiers and snowboarders are spoiled with runs that suit everyone, from beginners to advanced riders. The backside of the mountain, with its double blacks and steep chutes, is where you really test your skills. But for those who prefer a smooth ride, the groomed trails on the front side make for a great day of cruising. There are also many other winter activities to enjoy for the whole family, like cross-country skiing, ice skating, tubing, snowmobiling, and fat-biking. It’s not just the snow that sets SilverStar apart—it’s the natural, all-around vibe of the place.
Summer at SilverStar feels completely different but just as appealing. The downhill bike park is one of the best in BC, and the fact that it’s been built up for over 30 years shows. You’ve got flow trails that beginners can ease into, while the more technical trails challenge experienced riders with rock gardens, roots, and drops. The cross-country trails are no joke either, especially the Beowulf loop, which is a 35 km endurance ride through varied terrain. SilverStar really knows how to make the mountain a year-round playground. If you’re into staying active with a bit of adventure, this is the place to be.
SilverStar’s ski-in, ski-out village is designed for convenience and comfort, offering a range of accommodation options to suit different preferences, from budget-friendly hotel rooms to luxurious condos and vacation homes with mountain views. The village is home to over 13 dining spots, including casual cafés for a quick coffee and snack, or more refined options where you can enjoy locally sourced meals. After a day on the mountain, the village offers a relaxed atmosphere with pubs for après-ski drinks and hearty meals. Everything is within walking or skiing distance, making it easy to transition from adventure to relaxation.
